Design the interfaces operators use to see and steer an agent fleet — dense, technical, real-time surfaces where clarity is the whole job.
What you're signing up for
The systems Bytevon builds are operator-facing and information-dense: fleets, traces, gates, and plans rendered in real time. You will design those surfaces — the dashboards, trace views, and control panels that make a complex system legible for the clients who operate it. This is a craft role for a designer who loves systems, tables, and the discipline of dark-first, technical UI where every pixel carries signal.
The work
- Design real-time, data-dense interfaces for fleet observability and control.
- Own and extend the design system across dark and light themes.
- Partner closely with engineers to design within real data and real constraints.
- Prototype interactions for traces, plans, and gates that stay legible under load.
- Raise the bar for craft — typography, density, motion, and accessibility — across the systems we ship.
You bring
- 5+ years designing complex, data-heavy product interfaces (developer tools, infra, or analytics).
- A portfolio that shows clarity under density — dashboards, consoles, or technical tooling.
- Strong systems thinking and fluency with design systems and tokens.
- Comfort working directly with engineers and reading the product's real data.
- An eye for accessible, high-contrast, theme-aware design.
Bonus signal
- Front-end ability (HTML/CSS, React) to prototype your own work.
- Experience designing for observability, security, or agent/LLM products.
- Motion and interaction design chops.
What you'll work with
What we offer
- Competitive salary and equity.
- Fully remote, async-first.
- Hardware and software budget.
- Home-office stipend.
